Denzel and Travolta Take Manhattan
Posted on Jun 12, 2009 @ 04:40PM - Add a comment

John Travolta can be amazing (Pulp Fiction) or totally embarrassing (Battlefield Earth). But teamed up with Denzel Washington, who can read the phone book and be captivating, Travolta elevates his game.
The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3, a remake of a 1974 cult classic, has a mediocre plot and would have been pretty lame with any two other actors in the lead roles. But Denzel and Travolta’s performances — and a few hyped-up, amped-up car crashes — make this movie, directed by action God Tony Scott, a must-see.

Robert Redford's Great Gatsby car sells for $238,000

A piece of history was auctioned off this week when the 1928 Rolls Royce Phantom 1 Ascot Tourer driven by Robert Redford in the 1974 movie of "The Great Gatsby" sold to a collector.
Symbolizing the roaring 1920s and Gatsby’s wealth and terrible obsession with materials objects, the car becomes a pivotal character in the film when Myrtle is struck and killed by Gatsby's car.
Reprotedly, Robert Redford was so overwhelmed by women following him whenever he drove the car that he sold it after a few months. A collector, the late Ted Leonard, who owned a car dealership in Seekonk, Mass., bought the car from Redford and kept it as a showpiece.

So you know, I love my NJ Housewives, but I kinda miss my bitchy, backstabbing babes of the OC! What?! There’s unseen footage that Bravo is going to air tonight on Real Housewives of Orange County: The Lost Footage! Oh thank you Bravo! Thank you! Ok, so we all saw the train wreck of a reunion show where Tamra deliciously hung every little piece of Gretchen’s dirty laundry out to dry (including that cute little bikini she wore in the infamous bottomless toilet photo, ew). Now get ready for some scenes that the network originally thought might not be appropriate to air back then… but apparently feel are appropriate for ratings now! Including an unseen C-word dropping rant from Tamra that took place just before the reunion show fight that we did see! Cattiness aside ladies, as a public service announcement to all my sisters out there, if you ever meet a man named Jay Photoglou… run!

Only RadarOnline.com was there to capture an acoustic version of their single, "How You Love Me Now'' with the pitch -perfect Cassadee, and rolled tape as she jokingly interviewed Michael "Jersey" Moriarty (bass guitar), Mike Gentile (lead guitar), Alex Lipshaw (rhythm guitar) and Elliot James (drums.)
Style, Meet Sound: Roxy and JBL Headphones
Posted on Jun 10, 2009 @ 06:13PM - Add a comment

Beach designer Roxy partnered with sound pioneer JBL to create a co-branded line of audio gear specifically sized for women. While style is important let’s face it, if they don’t sound good, no one is going to wear them but we’re happy to report that the brightly colored “D.J. style” headphones and colorful ear buds deliver superior audio sound.
The on ear headphones ($69.95) are made of cups that have been purposely designed as smaller than average ear cups, so they’re comfortable enough to wear for long periods of time and the ear buds won’t fall out of your ears.
Unlike the crappy default Apple ear buds, the mic on the In-Earphones ($39.95) is purposely bigger and easy to see , not only as a style choice but also so you’ll hear conversations better. Roxy fans will love the cases, which come in Roxy’s signature styled patterns.

Chicks Dig Terrence Howard

Actor /animal lover Terrence Howard held up traffic to save a baby bird from getting run over in traffic this weekend.
The Iron Man star jumped out in the middle of the road in Beverly Hills, waving his hands for motorists to stop until a little hatching got across the road to re-join his mother.
Bet that chick thinks he’s a super star.
