FOR THAT ALIVE LOOK: DEAD SEA SOAPS

Cleopatra is rumored to have bathed in it and create the first “mud” mask from the salts and muds found in it. For centuries we’ve heard of the curative powers of the Dead Sea , located at the earth's lowest point of elevation and modern civiliations bath in it, wash with it’s products and slather themselves with various skin creams made with it’s minerals.
Some people swear by Dead Sea products for psoriasis and other skin disorders, but by far it’s biggest application is for skin care regiments. We use the One With Nature soaps, which are 100% natural, feel fabulous and leave our skin soft and silky. (The colors come from naturally occurring colors in the minerals.)
Beauty Water

Handsome, suave, and neurotic reality star Jonathan Antin, whose show on Bravo, Blow Out, documented his fast-paced, stressed life as an entrepreneur, hair stylist, and inventor of Beauty Water, may be off the radar now, but you can find all his products in any good beauty shop.
Since the show went off the air Jonathan has lost both his salons but his hair products and “Beauty Water” – a shower purification system—live on in popular salons and shops such as Sephora.
We recently received the shower filter to review and after much scoffing – especially at the packaging verbiage “Celebrity Tested” – installed it in our shower. Simply put, it filters chlorine and all heavy metals and harsh chemicals in the water, leaving you with the closest thing to spring water since you hitch hiked in the Sierras.
All Girls Are Beautiful!

Yeah, Baby! We love the Kiss the Girl line because of their empowering motto, but we also love the fabulous designs and expensive, soft-as-silk cotton.
Kiss the Girl’s casual-chic pieces are inspired by vintage fabrics and the sun-kissed weather of Southern California. With unique appliqués and lightly distressed edging, the collection has a boutique look and feel at affordable prices of $50 and up.
How to Tan like a Celeb

Everyone wants the perfect tan but tanning in the sun is sooo last decade, not to mention dangerous. We asked our make-up and tanning expert, Heather Kwasnieski at Luminess, how the celebs get those perfect tans. In a word, “Air-brush.”
Advantages:
“Since you’re not using a cream, you’re not going to get the streaks you get with the cream. The tanning solution is pixilated and is basically airbrushed onto the skin. A very smooth finish—no streaks, no dripping. And the DHA [active ingredient] in our tanning solution is up to 700 times more powerful than a lot of the creams and tanning solutions out there.
Spray On!

The latest and greatest invention in the cosmetic world lately has to be the spray-on foundations. We love the Dior product, the DiorSkin AirFlash Spray Foundation which delivers an “airbrushed" effect with precision and ease (after some practice.) Yes, it evens out skin tone and “visibly diminishes the appearance of fine lines and skin irregularities’ but at $60 it’s a little steep for day to day.
So when Isadora Cosmetics and Makeup sent us their spray-on version, we were thrilled. Not only does it coast a mere $14 but the mist is easy to apply (again, with some practice.) The Swedish brand is better known through Europe we predict they are going to be popular here too. All their products are fragrance free and all clinically tested by professionals. And you can’t beat the price.
Jellies Are Back!

Everything that goes around, comes around and that’s no more true than in fashion. But who imagined Jellies, those plastic sandals would be in fashion again.
But make no mistake – these are not the ones you remember. We asked our expert, Michelle Madhook at SheFinds about this new /old trend:
“Granted, they're all still plastic, so you'll notice that the sweat usually absorbed by your leather sandals is a little more, shall we say, tactile. Although, lots of these cute style are breathable, provide plenty of flow-through, and are built to last.

Land's End Swimsuits

It’s that dreaded time again…swimsuit season! May we interrupt all the screaming to suggest something pretty out-there, a swimsuit from Land’s End (yes, the catalogue) that sucks you in like a miracle girdle.
Take this SwimShape Tank Swimsuit, $89.50, which our expert , Michelle Madhook at SheFinds.com found at Land’s End .
“I found this retro red halter SwimShape suit that's not only cute, it's like SPANX for the pool. Seriously, the suit will suck you in like no other. It took me a good minute to pull it on, but once everything was in, I looked pretty good for being allergic to the gym.

Kumaara Overnight Repair Complex
Skin creams promise everything these days, including a happy new life to accompany the new, unwrinkled person you’ll become. We’re happy to report that this cream may not change your life but it will help your skin.
While we didn’t try it out for the recommended 60 days (for the optimal effect) we did notice a change in the texture and color of our skin in 2 weeks. After a week our skin seemed brighter and after two weeks some of the very fine lines were diminished.

Sienna Miller likes the “Crybaby”, Kate Bosworth wears the “Evil” and Lindsay Lohan has been snapped in the new “Red Hot” model. Celebs love their over-sized Jee Vice (pronounced “G-Vice”) sunglasses, which look fashionable while giving them some privacy from the paps.
Hand-designed in France and made in Italy, the line features two collections, the Revolutionary Correct and Optic Couture.
“I want to give women a new way to demonstrate their power through their look,” says Philippe Vergez, the company’s founder and designer. “Jee Vice gives them the desire to love, live their passions, to fully commit themselves and raise the limits for value among the young woman of today.”
