Demi Lovato said that working with John Mayer on her forthcoming album, Here We Go Again, was "a dream come true."
The Disney diva said Mayer (who had reached out to Lovato after hearing she was a fan of his) had a keen eye for detail.
"John Mayer's been a huge influence on me. His songwriting really inspires me," she told MTV. "You hear music that has the same chord progression, but what he does, he changes it up. There's little things that make him stand out."
Katy Perry Reacts To Bizarre Japanese Nickname

She might not be an angelic amazon, but Katy Perry's no "small devil rock princess," the nickname her Japanese fans have given the talented singer.
At an AIDS fundraiser at the H&M store in Harajuku Wednesday, a reporter told the I Kissed A Girl singer about the nickname. A surprised Perry responded: "Small devil rock princess? I'm 5'8", I'm tall-ish! I'm not that little of a rock princess and I don't have any horns like Vivienne Westwood."
Rock Out At the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego

If it were true that everyone wanted to be a rock star, then everyone would want to stay at a Hard Rock Hotel. The San Diego location at the heart of the city's bustling Gaslamp Quarter serves up what one would expect from the hippest establishment in town: rocking music (the TV in your room can be programmed to play your fave genre upon arrival), a good-looking crowd, impressive memorabilia lining the walls (hello Madonna's bustier), hopping bars which help you earn your hangover, and decadent menus which help you get over one.
Click here for a closer look at the hotel
By 10 o'clock on a Friday night, the sidewalk is littered with a dressed-up crowd clamoring to get past the velvet rope of the hotel's ground floor bar 207. Hotel guests can easily get on the list by calling ahead. This is not the place for you if you would rather tuck into room service and some pay-per-view -- unless your idea of a lullaby is neighboring revelers slugging down 11 pm pre-club vodka shots and all the noise that follows through the 2 a.m. knocking from wayward girls looking for the after party next-door (yes, this all happened).
This is the trendiest, coolest destination you can get in the shadow of nearby Petco stadium, home of the family friendly Padres. The Hard Rock bar scene is prime, the beds are sumptuous marshmallows nestled in gleaming black, modern furniture, there is a Nobu located in the hotel, and the gorgeous rooftop pool is ripe for tanning and pretty people-watching. Where else but a Hard Rock Hotel can you walk into the Maryjane Coffee Shop and quietly tuck into your breakfast while the bikini-clad girl next to you takes a swig of champagne as she discusses the virtues of dating a jerk. But a jerk "who owns a yacht." Sex, eggs, and rock n roll!
For less than $300 a night for a studio king room, anyone can be the subject of their own VH1 Behind the Music episode come to life and bump into a real-life celebrity (or a reality star like Brody Jenner) in the lobby. If you want to finally feel like the cool kid, come to the Hard Rock.

The craziest thoughts randomly pop into singer John Mayer's head -- and he has no problem posting them on his Twitter for all to see.
"There's nothing I've learned as a 'celebrity' that I wouldn't have wanted to learn as a man pouring cereal in my kitchen anyway," Mayer pontificated early Tuesday.
Later on, Mayer wrote that he was able to achieve new heights in being able to Twitter while asleep: "IT WORKS!!! Hey, everybody, I'm twittering from INSIDE my DREAMS! I'm on the 101 East, second level. My second grade math teacher says hi!"
Kanye West : "South Park Murdered Me"

Who knew Kanye West actually had a self-deprecating sense of humor?
The rapper reacted surprisingly to Wednesday's episode of South Park that parodied him in its plot, which centered around a juvenile joke about fish sticks turned West into a gay fish. The show held little back in playing up all of West's idiosyncrasies: the ego, the attitude, the processed music.
Report: King of Pop To Adopt

Michael Jackson, enjoying a slight career resurgence with 50 sold-out dates in Britain this summer, has contacted an English agency in hopes of adopting a child.
"His life is his children," a source told the Daily Express. "Wherever he goes, they go, and he has said it would be good to have another child."
The singer is already father to three children: Prince Michael, 12, and Paris, 11, whom he fathered during his marriage to nurse Deborah Rowe; and 7-year-old Prince Michael II, who was born to an unknown woman.
The source, according to Daily Express, said that Jackson, 50, feels he has moved past the child molestation allegations that surfaced in 1993, and again ten years later.
"Michael feels that the British fans really understand him," the source told the Web site. "It is a new beginning." (Photo: Wenn)
Marilyn Manson Tries to Win Back Ex-Wife

Don’t expect Dita Von Teese and ex-husband Marilyn Manson to get back together--ever. In her cover interview for Inked, the burlesque star hints that her former hubby has been doing some groveling since the couple split in 2007. And she’s not having any of it.
“Yeah, he's been in touch a little,” the modern-day pin-up tells the magazine. “The apologies come, and he was like, ‘I made a big mistake…’ and I'm like, ‘Yeah, yeah, I know. Go ahead and say what you need to say to feel better and to sleep at night,’” she says. “I feel like that was a lifetime ago.”
Von Teese, who is clearly not pining over her shock-rocker ex, is currently keeping busy with a new menagerie of men. “Right now I've got three. They're all in different parts of the world.” But don’t expect to see her stepping out with one of her beaus in public. “I want to date more than one, and I don't want them to know about each other!” she says.
Lucky for her, she claims that dodging the paparazzi is simple. “As long as you don't go to The Ivy or Mr. Chow and those places where people go when they want to proclaim their relationship is still intact, or they want to announce their relationship, it's not that hard.”
