Having resigned from her post as co-director of the Miss California pageant, Shanna Moakler now wants back in following the firing of Carrie Prejean.

“I’d love to go back,” Moakler said in Los Angeles on Thursday. “I love the California organization.”
Moakler was outspoken over her differences with anti-gay marriage Prejean and was upset by how Prejean kept her crown despite shirking her official duties. Seems like Moakler won in the end!

Former Miss Universe Shanna Moakler is lashing out at the California Supreme Court’s decision to uphold “Prop 8,” the state’s ban against gay marriage which was voted into law last November.
“As our youth grows and gets the power to vote, hate Props like these will be a thing of the past,” Shanna told RadarOnline.com.
“I know I am on the right side of history and it is only a matter of time when our great country starts doing the right thing."
“Years ago women couldn’t vote, blacks and whites weren’t free to marry peacefully, and like those prejudices, this will one day change."

Shanna is no stranger to controversy these days. Earlier this month she quit as the co-director of the Miss California USA pageant following the anti-gay statements made by titleholder Carrie Prejean.

Miss California USA Carrie Prejean was both blasted and defended on Larry King Live Thursday night, after she cancelled her appearance on the show at the last minute.
Miss Universe president Paula Shugart told King Prejean's cancellation was due to exhaustion and travel issues. Prejean had hired her own public relations team following the fallout over her gay marriage remarks, a source told RadarOnline.com, and her handlers reportedly backed out of the interview late Thursday.

Shanna Moakler, who stepped down in her capacity as Miss California USA official Wednesday, said she feels Miss California USA Carrie Prejean has "gotten rewarded for lying."
Prejean, earlier this week, was allowed to keep her crown by pageant head Donald Trump in spite of past infractions that violated the pact she agreed to in representing the pageant in the first place.

Fresh off of Donald Trump's public affirmation that Miss California Carrie Prejean would keep her crown, former beauty queen and pageant director Shanna Moakler resigned from her post on Wednesday.
"Since the press conference yesterday, I had a chance to think about what has taken place, and I feel that at this time it is in my best interest to resign from the Miss California USA organization," Moaker tells Us. "I cannot with a clear conscious move forward supporting and promoting the Miss Universe Organization when I no longer believe in it, or the contracts I signed committing myself as a youth."
"I want to be a role model for young woman with high hopes of pageantry, but now feel it more important to be a role model for my children. I am sorry and hope I have not let any young supporters down but wish them the best of luck in fulfilling their dreams."

Miss California USA co-director Shanna Moakler is speaking out after Donald Trump's decision to let Carrie Prejean keep the crown on Tuesday. "It was never about Carrie's opinion or the pictures, it was about the fact that we couldn't communicate with Carrie personally and there were too many organizations trying to exploit her title," Moakler told RadarOnline.com.

Runner-Up Tami Farrell is ready to take the Miss California crown--should Donald Trump decide to strip current holder Carrie Prejean of her title.
Farrell, who appeared alongside Shanna Moakler and Keith Lewis at a press conference for the Miss California organization Monday, has been given the title Beauty of California Ambassador. She'll be acting as the alternate for Prejean.

As “sources” and past title winners come forward calling for current Miss California Carrie Prejean to step down, RadarOnline.com has learned that early next week the battle for a crown is set to come to a head finally.
This week, Donald Trump announced he would hold a press conference regarding the pageant next Tuesday in New York. The Miss California USA pageant officials announced Friday they would be holding a separate press conference in Los Angeles on Monday. Instead of Prejean, runner-up Miss Malibu Tami Farrell will be in attendance.

Miss California Organization co-executive director Shanna Moakler Thursday said the organization paid for Carrie Prejean’s breast implants prior to the 21-year-old San Diego college student competing in the pageant.
Moakler, a former Miss USA winner herself, told Billy Bush of Access Hollywood that her, a fellow co-executive director and Prejean agreed upon the surgery after discussing it in-depth.
